Strategic Plan

The IMPaCT Strategic Plan is structured around three strategic axes and two cross-cutting lines.

The strategic axes respond to each of the three programs (Cohort, Data, and Genomics), and are in turn organized into specific actions and work packages, with compliance indicators that aim to verify the effectiveness of the IMPaCT infrastructure deployment.

In addition, the two cross-cutting strategic lines across the three programs provide internal coherence in aspects such as data ethics and platform internationalization, which are common to all three strategic axes.

Three axes

Axis 1. Predictive Medicine (COHORTE Program)

It addresses the design and establishment of a population-based cohort representative of the Spanish population, including its ethnic variability, geographic, and environmental diversity. It involves the participation of all regional governments and conducts prospective follow-up. The goal is to contribute to the design of precision strategies and predictive models for primary prevention, early diagnosis, and early treatment of major diseases.

Axis 2. Data Science (DATA Program)

It is oriented toward the development and validation of an environment for the integration and joint analysis of clinical, molecular, and genetic data, for secondary use in coordination with strategic axes 1 and 3. Similarly, this axis will generate models that allow for efficient responses to questions relevant to the National Health System, promoting the generation of high-level knowledge based on these approaches.

Axis 3. Genomic Medicine (GENÓMICA Program)
