Mission
IMPaCT ‘s mission is to establish the pillars to facilitate the effective deployment of Precision Medicine in the National Health System, ensuring scientific-technical quality, equity and efficiency in the use of available scientific resources to meet the needs of citizens.
Vision
To become a scientific infrastructure of reference for the development of Precision Medicine in Spain in order to promote a safer, more efficient, preventive and predictive medicine .
Values
Open Science
The information, data, metadata and scientific products generated in IMPaCT will be open access, in order to make science more accessible, efficient, democratic and transparent.
Scientific integrity
Scientific integrity is intrinsic to research activity and science, being consubstantial to scientific activity and excellence, safeguarding the bases and foundations of science, promoting the advancement of knowledge and sustaining and reaffirming society's confidence in researchers, and in the soundness of their work. IMPaCT incorporates the principles of scientific integrity in all its processes, as a key value.
Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)
IMPaCT follows the RRI principles (science education, gender equality, open access, governance, ethics and citizen participation) in all its actions. In addition, it establishes responsible governance with shared responsibility between stakeholders and institutions. Citizen participation is an axis for IMPaCT throughout the entire value chain, it is present in the conception, development and dissemination of its lines of action.
The IMPaCT Strategic Plan is configured around three strategic axes and two transversal lines.
The strategic axes respond to each of the three programs: Cohort, Data and Genomics, in turn, are arranged in specific actions and work packages, with compliance indicators that aim to verify the effectiveness of the deployment of the IMPaCT infrastructure .
In addition, the two strategic lines that cut across the three programs provide internal coherence between them, in aspects such as data ethics and the internationalization of the platform, which are common to all three strategic lines.
