The IMPaCT Cohort teams from all the Autonomous Communities, Ceuta and Melilla have presented the results of their work at the second IMPaCT Cohort Conference<\/strong> held on 9 and 10 October in Antequera<\/strong> (Malaga).<\/p>\n\n

In the first of the sessions, representatives of the communities with pilot studies underway<\/strong> (Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Castilla-La Mancha and Madrid) presented their experience in the phase of receiving participants.\nIn total, the acceptance rate of the people called to participate is 30-40%, and there are already more than 700 participants<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The main conclusion of the pilot studies, according to those in charge, is that “yes it can be done”<\/strong> and the second, that “the acceptance rate is high<\/strong> compared to other similar studies carried out in other countries”.<\/p>\n\n

During their speech, they listed some of the keys to the success of the IMPaCT Cohort<\/strong>.\n“It was a success to place<\/strong> the IMPaCT Cohort in health centers<\/strong> due to the proximity to the population,” they highlighted. “For its success,” they continued, “the involvement of the health services<\/strong> of the Autonomous Communities, the dedication of many actors within these services, taking great care of the landing in health centers and having primary care professionals<\/strong> with a long history in research<\/strong> has also been key.” <\/p>\n\n

In the following two sessions of the Conference (the afternoon of the first day and the morning of the second), heads of the teams from the rest of the Autonomous Communities, Ceuta and Melilla,<\/strong> intervened, explaining how they are preparing<\/strong> to start receiving participants in the IMPaCT Centres shortly.<\/p>\n\n

The conference was inaugurated by Manuel Bar\u00f3n<\/strong>, mayor of Antequera, Crist\u00f3bal Belda<\/strong>, director of the Carlos III Health Institute, Marina Poll\u00e1n<\/strong>, coordinator of Cohorte-IMPaCT, Isaac Tunisia<\/strong>, secretary general of Public Health and R+D+i of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, and Inmaculada V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, general director of Humanization, Planning, Coordination and Care of the Andalusian Health Service.<\/p>\n\n

Throughout the conference, sessions were also developed dedicated to the work of the communication group with the participant<\/strong>, training<\/strong> in the nodes, the data management<\/strong> platform and the communication strategy<\/strong> of the IMPaCT Cohort.<\/p>\n\n
